27-Feb-2012 Generous hospitality and attention to detail that makes a weekend getaway enchanting. We had the most wonderful weekend, the cottage is gorgeous and the grounds are amazing. There are loads of generous inclusions including Trev’s famous warm home made bread, wine cheese and the breakfast essentials (and some luxuries)We saw lots of wildlife and perfect privacy and where close enough to Berry to stay totally entertained. Perfect……..price is perfect too!!

02-Jan-2012 This is a wonderful property with wonderful hosts. I would recommend this to everyone who enjoys the peace and tranquility of being close to nature and close to civilisation at the same time…even our teenager survived without the internet!!! He discovered such things as playing outside, rolling down hills and investigating the dam life….hosts are amazing people and the cottage is so comfortable. Will be back again

23-Oct-2011 An idyllic haven to restore and reconnect with the family. Our two boys were delighted at the sight of Wombats, Frogs and countless birds that visited the house during our stay. The hospitality was excellent, non intrusive and all extras are catered for.

16-Sep-2010 I stayed at the Stables with my husband and 22 month old daughter, and we really loved the peaceful rural surroundings. We wanted peace and relaxation, and we got it. The perfect break! The house was so comfortable and clean and pleasant, that even on the one rainy day we had, it wasn’t too much of a hardship to stay indoors and watch a movie. Trevor and Carol were so friendly and welcoming that we felt instantly relaxed. Should make special mention of the wombat. We were treated to a daylight viewing of the wombat, and were able to watch him grazing for ages in the ‘back yard’. My daughter loved the ducks and other birds too! Thanks so much for a lovely stay. 14-Feb-2010 Wonderful, accommodation and service was A1 and all for just $130.00 a night. The added touches were delightful and Trev and Carol made you feel right at home. Beautiful cottage and spot, very peaceful. Have shown plenty of pictures to our family and friends and thoroughly recommend the Stables to all.

Roses in the rooms, wine and cheese on arrival plus the homemade bread all add up to fantastic boutique accommodation. The quality and hospitality is outstanding and you will want to come back.

15-Jan-2010 Our experience at Wisteria College was uniformly fabulous. On arrival, we had some freshly home-made bread, some local cheese and wine. All were lovely. The cottage was clean and well-appointed (especially the convection oven). Finally we all really enjoyed the wombat viewing experience and the beautiful black wallaby that regularly visited the cottage in the morning. We all will definitely return to this lovely location as soon as we possibly can.
 
31-Dec-2009 The accommodation was in excellent condition. The owner provided the basics to get us started which was very thoughtful. We enjoyed freshly baked bread, a bottle of wine with local cheese and biscuits, all provided for our arrival. The view from the cottage was beautiful and the afternoon breeze a welcome. A well positioned barbeque with seating under a shade cloth provided for most of our cooking and eating requirements. Managed to spot a diamond python which turned out to be a highlight. Overall we had a wonderful holiday and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a get-away from the bustle of the city.

Loved the tranquillity

We have just returned home after three nights at Heron’s rest. The stay wa s fantastic, the lounge looks over a small dam with ducks and water fowl. Property can cater for one or two couples.

Gorgeous, relaxing property

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Heron’s Rest. It was just what we needed after a few stressful months in Sydney and the perfect way to spend our wedding anniversary. The house was great, we had everything we needed and more and so so pretty sitting on the edge of the dam. Our dog had a fantastic time, with plenty of room to run around. The house is stunning, all new with a fully equipped kitchen and luxurious bathroom. The bed was very comfortable and had a lovely outlook to the dam which was stunning with water lilies and lotus’. We loved it so much, we hope to come back again soon.

Stunning Hideaway

Loved our stay at Herons Rest. The peace and clean surroundings was just perfect. Trev and Carol are very devoted to making your stay memorable. We felt extremely spoilt. Breaky on the pond with the ducks in our pjs…just perfect! Will be recommening it to anyone with ears.♡

Peaceful and comfortable

Great location close to Berry and Kangaroo valley. Loved the water lily surrounded pontoon which was a wonderful place to soak up the sunshine and read a good book. Comfortable and peaceful property with breakfast (including beautiful home baked bread), coffee and other provisions which made things comfortable. Our hosts Trev and Carol were flexible in meeting our specific requirements which was much appreciated.

Truly beautiful property

A really relaxing location and magnificent property. Everything you could possibly want for an enjoyable stay with all the additional little treats like fresh baked bread and free range eggs. The hosts Trevor and Carol are friendly and helpful. Definitely would recommend, and will visit again.
